Underwood’s civil rights practice group litigates claims of civil rights deprivation by employees and individuals based on all of the recognized suspect classifications under federal, state, and local law including but not limited to race, gender, age, pregnancy, disability, ethnicity, and religion, and also deprivations of civil rights protected by 42 U.S.C. §§ 1981, 1983, 1985, and 1986, the First Amendment, the Fourth Amendment, and the Eighth Amendment, among others.
