On August 25, 2020 the Underwood Law Firm Municipal Law Section hosted its Annual Municipal Law Seminar. Because of COVID-19, the seminar was conducted virtually through ZOOM and included almost 5 hours of training for City Officials and employees.
The seminar attracted 115 registrants from 47 Texas cities. Underwood Attorneys Slater C. Elza, Matt Wade and Bryan Guymon presented, along with representatives from Panhandle Regional Planning Commission and South Plains Association of Governments. Topics ranged from economic development to code enforcement to employment issues related to COVID-19.
Underwood hopes to return to in-person seminars in the future, but our first virtual Municipal Law Seminar was a great success. See you in 2021!
