Slater Elza Elected to State Bar Litigation Council

On June 21, 2018 at the State Bar of Texas Annual Meeting, Underwood Shareholder Slater C. Elza was elected to serve on the State Bar’s Litigation Council. The Litigation Council helps govern the Litigation Section of the Texas State Bar. The Section is comprised of nearly nine thousand members from all parts of the State and all sides of the Bar. It is a neutral organization comprised of plaintiff attorneys, defense attorneys, judges, mediators / arbitrators, pro bono attorneys and law students who are dedicated to improving our justice system and the quality of legal services delivered to Texans. The Litigation Section is actively involved in a number and variety of pro bono and educational programs, as well as actively tracking the Texas Legislature to keep Section Members informed of legislative activity. Mr. Elza will serve a three year term.
