Slater and Jennie both practice in Underwood’s Litigation Section and both serve on the State Board for the Texas Association of Defense Counsel. 

 




Chris Wrampelmeier Presented his Paper “Securing Property at Point Blank” at the 43rd Annual Marriage Dissolution Institute

On April 29, 2021, Chris Wrampelmeier presented his paper “Securing Property at Point Blank” at the 43rd Annual Marriage Dissolution Institute. His paper and speech addressed different means to enforce awards of property in divorces, emphasizing that the collection of the property is the ultimate goal of the client. The reference to the 1960’s movie “Point Blank” was part of a theme of the seminar, which honored the State Bar of Texas Family Law Section’s 60th anniversary in 2020. The seminar was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic but resumed at the end of April 2021 as a webcast. Mr. Wrampelmeier was honored to be on the faculty of the seminar.

Also on April 29th , the members of the Family Law Section elected Mr. Wrampelmeier as vice chair of the section. During the previous year, Mr. Wrampelmeier had served as treasurer.

At the May 1st meeting of the governing body of the section, the Family Law Council, out-going Chair Kristal Thomson presented Mr. Wrampelmeier with the Chair’s Award “In appreciation for your timeless service and dedication to the Family Law Council.”
