Slater Elza Joins Association of Defense Trial Attorneys
Underwood Shareholder, Slater C. Elza, was recently invited to join the prestigious Association of Defense Trial Attorneys. The Association of Defense Trial Attorneys (ADTA) is an international organization set up to provide an opportunity for proven, successful trial attorneys to associate with similarly qualified trial attorneys, and to identify the successful defense trial attorney for those persons in search of an attorney. Because the Association only permits one prime member per one million population for each city, town, or municipality, an ADTA member holds special distinction. ADTA’s exclusive selection process assures potential clients that they have the name of a highly qualified, experienced and successful defense trial attorney in that community or region. Mr. Elza chairs the Underwood Law Firm’s Litigation Section and regularly defends clients in matters litigated throughout Texas, and around the country.
Underwood’s Litigation Practice Group offers experience and expertise at every stage of a civil dispute, from pre-suit investigation and case evaluation through settlement negotiations, discovery, trial, and appeal. We also handle arbitration, mediation, and defense of administrative investigations and proceedings.
Underwood attorneys and paralegals devote themselves to achieving the best result for all of our clients in cases ranging from simple, single-Plaintiff disputes to complex class action or multi-party litigation. We are equipped with the latest technology to address complex litigation in both state and federal courts, and we have attorneys with substantial experience in matters involving high volumes of electronic discovery, expert discovery and testimony, and complex legal issues.
In collaboration with our other practice groups, Underwood’s Litigation Practice Group can handle any type of civil litigation, including, but not limited to, cases involving administrative law, agriculture, antitrust and competition, banking and finance, civil rights, construction, contract and commercial disputes, education and school law, employment and labor, medical negligence, municipalities, oil and gas, real estate, and securities. Although our docket primarily involves civil defense, we also represent plaintiffs in commercial and personal injury cases.
