Gerald G. Bybee was born and raised in Hereford, Texas and is a lifelong resident of the Texas Panhandle. He received both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Texas where he graduated fifth in his class from law school and was elected a member of Order of the Coif. He has over 40 years of experience as a general business lawyer with a concentration on federal tax issues. Gerald is an experienced practitioner in Public Finance Law having represented over 50 school districts, cities and counties as bond counsel and underwriter’s counsel in connection with the issuance of over a billion dollars in tax exempt and tax credit bonds. He is a Red Book listed Nationally Recognized Bond Counsel.
Gerald has been married to his wife, Maria, for 43 years and has a daughter, a son and two grandsons. Recreational activities include golf and bicycling. He has served as a board member of the Amarillo March of Dimes and a director of Tascosa Country Club.
