Mr. Tate's practice is concentrated on commercial litigation and agricultural law. He has tried cases in Amarillo, Lubbock, and throughout the Texas Panhandle. He is licensed in both federal and state courts. Mr. Tate represents agricultural based businesses and families. His representation ranges from litigation to business planning.

Mr. Tate was previously an intern for the Secretary of Agriculture and has a degree in Agricultural Economics. He has major farming and ranching interests in the Texas Panhandle. Mr. Tate represents significant clients involved in the dairy expansion in this area.

In litigation, Mr. Tate has handled a number of cases regarding the cattle and farming industry. He has represented secured creditors in priority disputes over livestock and real estate. He has represented producers in insurance disputes, including issues involving inappropriate application of pesticides, as well as numerous liability issues. Mr. Tate is familiar with both the landlord and tenant side of agricultural leases.

Lynn Tate has a significant practice involving farm service agency matters. This ranges from person determination planning to representation involving county or state review of organizations and operations. He has also handled numerous Federal Crop Insurance matters.

Mr. Tate recently recently represented the purchaser of Lone Star Dairy in the purchase of the herd and of the facility. He served as a member of the transaction team in the Milk Palace Dairy acquisition and of the CAG Cimarron Dairy, both located in Kansas. Mr. Tate also represented the purchasers of the Milk Flow dairy herd and recently of the Rawhide Dairy.

As the dairy industry has developed in West Texas and Southwest Kansas, Mr. Tate has been active in locating suitable sites for dairy farmers and assisting in the establishment of their dairies. Mr. Tate can assist on other issues relating to the construction process including the review of construction contracts and risk assessment.
