Mr. Sanborn's principle areas of practice are long term care health law, health care professional licensure and health care privacy law. He has extensive experience in handling administrative hearings and has been lead counsel in several hundred docketed cases involving long term care facility licensure and certification.
Practice Concentration and Experience
Health Care
- Advising clients throughout the United States on Medicare reimbursement and regulatory issues
- Assisting Texas and Oklahoma health care providers with Medicaid reimbursement issues, federal regulatory actions, and licensure matters
- Negotiating health care program exclusion issues with the DHHS Office of Inspector General
- Advising health care entities on compliance with anti-fraud and anti-kickback laws and initiatives
- Assisting healthcare providers with implementation of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy and security rules and Office of Inspector General Corporate Compliance Programs
Administrative Law
- Representing clients before administrative law judges and licensing agencies
- Negotiating qui tam settlement with the Department of Justice
