Tom is an Amarillo Native. He graduated from Amarillo High School and pursued a degree from the University of Texas in Austin in Government and a minor in Spanish. He then went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in Houston and his practice is heavily concentrated in Litigation and Employment Law.

Tom is an active member of the community as he is on the board of directors for Meals on Wheels. Tom also participates in Leadership Amarillo and Canyon and a member of the Amarillo Rotary Club. Tom was recently accepted as the newest board member of the Amarillo Area Young Lawyers Association and was named Young Lawyer of the Month for the month of October, 2011.
