Mike Loftin began practicing law in 1975 when he joined the Underwood Law Firm. He has been Board Certified in Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1983. While Mike has defended clients in virtually every type of civil litigation during his career, his focus in recent years has been defending medical malpractice lawsuits, serious injury and death claims, antitrust claims, employment discrimination claims, and governmental liability claims. He serves as lead defense counsel for BSA Hospital and has defended the American Quarter Horse Association, the Amarillo Economic Development Corporation, and the City of Amarillo.
In addition to representing employers in employment discrimination lawsuits, Mike serves as counsel for the employer in labor arbitrations. He is frequently asked to serve as a mediator and has conducted over 500 mediations.
