Autum is a native of Amarillo and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1999.  She received a Bachelor of Business Administration with honors from the University of Texas at Austin in 2003, majoring in International Business with a minor in Spanish.  While working for her undergraduate degree, Autum studied abroad at both the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores in Monterrey, Mexico and the University of Edinburgh in Edinburgh, Scotland.  Autum graduated from Harvard Law School with a Juris Doctorate in 2007.  Autum has been licensed to practice law in Colorado since 2007 and has specialized primarily in commercial and securities litigation.
