
Alan Rhodes serves as outside counsel to Baptist St. Anthony’s Health System. In that role, he advises the Board of Trustees, has led the transaction team in the acquisition of two surgical hospitals and several physicians’ practices.
Mr. Rhodes uses his transactional expertise, accounting background, family’s farming heritage, and his current farming operations to assist farmers and ranchers. Many of his agriculture clients are feedlots or long-time area farmers. In addition to assisting them with purchases or sales, Mr. Rhodes handles USDA and similar matters.
For the last decade, Mr. Rhodes has assisted a number of Dutch and Danish families as they have moved to or invested in the United States. The issues with which Mr. Rhodes has assisted these clients include entity selection, locating partner banks, site selection and acquisition, transaction planning, and loan restructurings.
Following the Colorado Banking Commission’s closure of New Frontier Bank in May of 2009, Mr. Rhodes worked to present financing alternatives to New Frontier Bank customers. Several of the customers worked to accept the presented alternatives and are successfully in business at the current time.
Mr. Rhodes has worked with qualified purchasers from the FDIC and has assisted clients in acquiring participations in notes purchased from the FDIC.
Mr. Rhodes assists real estate developers in structuring, restructuring, and financing. Representative Amarillo projects including Amarillo Commercial Group’s acquisitions of the Chase Tower and Amarillo Building in 2006 and sale in 2008 and WSQ Investors’ acquisition of the Wellington Square property in 2010.
