Adam is a native of Amarillo and graduated from Amarillo High School in 2004.  He subsequently attended Oklahoma State University where he majored in Economics and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration.  During college, Adam served as president of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity and was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi, Mortar Board, and Phi Eta Sigma honor societies.  Adam also interned for Texas State Senator Kel Seliger during the 80th Legislative Session focusing in the areas of natural resources, business and commerce.

Adam graduated from the Texas Tech University School of Law with a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree in 2011.  While in law school, Adam participated on three national mock trial teams, served as Chairman for the Board of Barristers, and was inducted into the Phi Delta Phi Honors Society and the National Order of the Barristers.  Adam also participated in the Civil Practice Clinic having the opportunity to handle two multi-action consumer law cases and argue before the Seventh District Court of Appeals in Amarillo.  Adam is licensed in the state of Texas and specializes in civil litigation.
