Bill Pinkham was born in San Antonio, Texas and grew up in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He graduated from Broken Arrow High School and attended college at the University of Oklahoma. While going to college, he was a member of the Oklahoma Army National Guard and served honorably in the 245th Military Intelligence Company. His service included a year-long deployment to central Iraq in 2005.

While in Law School at Oklahoma City University, Mr. Pinkham served as the vice president of the Energy Law Association and participated in several moot court competitions for which he was selected to the national Order of Barristers.
