High Ground of Texas participation at the Emigraria Tuesday, February 6, 2007 In an earlier article I mentioned Underwood's efforts to facilitate an Investor Visa Pilot Program. This program will compliment the efforts that are being made to welcome European farmers to the High Ground of Texas. As a part of our efforts to attract European farmers, Underwood encouraged Sheryl Hardy, of the Perryton Community Development Corporation, to attend the 2007 Emigraria. During the week of January 21, 2007, Sheryl and her husband, Larry (who ranches in Ochiltree County and serves as an Ochiltree County Commissioner) participated in the Emigraria at the Ijsselhallen Convention Center in Zwolle, Holland. I understand that the Emigraria is a real estate trade show. The show caters to farmers who are planning to relocate; a number of countries and states participate in the show. Sheryl and Larry worked with Bart Wagenvoort and Wagenvoort Advies, B.V. Mr. Wagenvoort's booth facilitated the distribution of 400 copies of the DVD that has been prepared by Moore, Hansford, Sherman and Ochiltree Counties. Texas Governor Rick Perry, State Representative David Swinford, High Ground of Texas Executive Director Lorie Vincent and several area residents are featured on the DVD. If you are considering options for the relocation of your farm, contact Sheryl Hardy or Lorie Vincent for a copy of the DVD. As to the Investor Visa Pilot Program, Alan Rhodes and Lynn Tate will meet with High Ground of Texas representatives at the World Farm Expo in Tulare, California during the week of February 11, 2007. Following the lead of Underwood's immigration lawyer, Charles A. Mallard, Underwood should be ready to take the next step on the EB-5 project in the next few weeks. All the best.
