Tuesday, August 12, 2008
Underwood Law Firm attorneys Slater Elza and Andrea Slater Gulley have been named "2008 Texas Rising Stars." Rising Stars must be 40 or younger or have practiced fewer than 10 years. Rising Stars are selected through a rigorous process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent candidate search and an evaluation that considers experience, honors, awards, bar and other professional activity, scholarly lectures and writings, education and employment background and other outstanding achievements. Only 2.5% of the total lawyers in Texas are named Rising Stars.
Slater Elza represents governmental entities and also maintains a civil litigation practice, representing individuals, businesses and employers.
Andrea Slater Gulley's practice includes general and special education law, employment law, and election law. Andrea is a frequent presenter at school law conferences and school administrator trainings.
