Wednesday, April 25, 2007

Underwood Law Firm attorneys Fred Stormer, Slater Elza, R. Wade King, and Andrea L. Slater Gulley have been named "2007 Texas Rising Stars". Rising Stars must be 40 or younger or have practiced fewer than 10 years. Rising Stars are selected through a rigorous process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent candidate search, and an evaluation that considers experience, honors, awards, bar and other professional activity, scholarly lectures and writings, education and employment background, and other outstanding achievements. Only 2.5% of the total lawyers in Texas are named Rising Stars.

Fred Stormer's practice includes all aspects of public education law, civil appeals, bond and general election law, employment law, and insurance defense. Fred is the author of numerous school law articles and is a frequent presenter at state and regional education law seminars and school board and administrator trainings.

Slater Elza represents governmental entities and also maintains a civil litigation practice, representing individuals, businesses, and employers.

R. Wade King concentrates on real estate, business, and banking law, assisting business and banking clients in negotiating and documenting real estate and financial transactions.

Andrea L. Slater Gulley's practice includes general and special education law, employment law, and election law. Andrea is also a frequent presenter at school law conferences and school administrator trainings.
